About Young's Grocery

Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in York with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in Pennsylvania may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.

Hours are published for 2 days a week. The most common schedule is 9 AM–10:30 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Young's Grocery at (717) 843-9117; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

With 3.8 out of 5 on Google from 39 reviews, it sits in the middle of the range for asian grocery stores in York. Recent reviews are the best guide.

York is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around York is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

When walking into the store I noticed grim all over the floor and discoloration. This is incredibly disappointing and disgusting. I've been going here all my life but recently it's been nasty. The lady has been nice, but I went with my friend and she was giving her a look and keep watch while we shopped. Mind you my friend is black.. something has to change!!!

One star but If there was an option to put 0 I would. The staff is very rude and the place is dirty and doesn't look clean or presentable. I sent my children in there and my child told me, she snatched the card from her hand and swiped it. I understand she was trying to help but she would have been nicer. It is extremely dirty and needs to be cleaned as soon as possible!!!!!

i go to this store almost every day. the owners are really friendly and laid back, joking around with me or calling me 'hun" or "baby" which makes it feel very welcoming to go there. they have a variety of things. sometimes when i don't have enough money they say "it's okay, just take the things and bring the money next time" which is so kind. i'd feel bad though so i usually rush home and get the money right away. great store, just wish they would update their menu list, but you could always just ask them. this store is important for the area. so glad it's here and really appreciate them!

Really good cheese steak sandwiches but you have to wait about 10 minutes for it to be ready. The prices that are advertised are incorrect. They're at least a dollar more. It's a small mom and pop run shop so I guess they don't ever get around to changing the prices on the signs. The place is overly crowded and the cashier's behind a big bulletproof enclosure. It definitely makes you feel creepy but when you really want a good cheesesteak or chicken cheese steak this is where I always go. They mince up all of the ingredients on the grill so it's all cheesy and gooey inside the hoagie roll. Very tasty.
